Instagram rolls out a feature like Tik Tok

Instagram has launched a feature called Reels which is similar to Tik Tok. 

Facebook has been testing Instagram Reels in  few countries like Brazil, Germany and France. The feature now arrives in India. This is the best time to bring Reels as the government of India has banned Tik Tok along with 58 Chinese apps and demand for short video making platform has spiked.

After the ban of these 59 Chinese apps , some indian apps like Chingari, Moj, Mitron, Roposo are in huge demand and gaining millions of users of everyday.
Facebook too used this opportunity
by bringing Reels to attract 200 million Tik Tok users.

What is Reels?

Reels is similar to Tik Tok where users can create short videos by using different AR effects and has options like timer, speed and can add music.

Reels will let users re-record and even delete it if needed. Reels isn't a separate app like Tik Tok but an integrated feature inside the Instagram app. 

Users after creating their reels can choose to share it with either there followers or for everyone on instagram. Reels can be shared to feed as well as explore so everyone on instagram can view it.

How to create Reels?

• First of all update your Instagram if you haven't

• After updating, open Instagram app

• Now click on Top left (your story) or just swipe right to open Instagram story

• Now look for Reels , it may be besides normal, superzoom, layout or boomerang

• click on reels and select music from Instagram music library. Facebook has partnered with prominent music labels to provide a vast collection of songs to users so they can create intresting reels.

• After creating successful reel just share it either with your followers or fir everyone on instagram.

Instagram users with public account will be able to share reels on explore. This will enable the reel to be seen and discovered by wider instagram community. Whereas Private account holders will be able to show their reel to feed with followers or as stories or DM.
